United Way of Long Island welcomes Petro team members to a Virtual Wall of Heroes.
On June 16, 2021, the United Way of Long Island honored individuals by featuring them on a Virtual ‘Wall of Heroes’ for showing acts of kindness, courage, care and ultimately making a positive impact on many in the Long Island community throughout the past year. These heroes also received a Certificate of Recognition for their amazing work and included champions from healthcare, retail, restaurant, non-profit, food grocery, public service, education, small businesses, labor unions, and more.
We are proud to share that three of these heroes are part of the Petro family. From helping a World War II veteran in need get a free heating system installed to making hundreds of customized protective face masks for colleagues and customers and sitting on the local United Way Board of Directors to help make a difference in the community, please join us in congratulating the following Star Group team members who were featured on the United Way’s Virtual ‘Wall of Heroes’:
